There are many types of free basketball games, all of which require you get the ball into the net. Given the limitations of flash, a game involving 5 players on each team isn't as practical as it would on a gaming console game. Fortunately for us game players, developers have come up with creative ways of allowing us to enjoy basketball in other ways. An example is 90 Second Basketball. In this game you must get the ball inside the basket as many times as you can in 90 seconds. There is a power and direction bar which allows you to aim the ball, but the tricky part is that you must click the ball while it is boucing. Another type of game is Basketball Challenge. Here you must move an object with your mouse, in the path of a falling basketball, in an attempt to bounce it into the hoops. This game is quite tricky, but once you get used to the controls, it's actually quite fun.
Some of the the NBA (National Basketball Association) teams feature in free flash games. The NBA is divided into the Eastern and Western Conference. Each conference is further divided into 6 more sections: 1) Atlantic, eg Boston Celtics and New York knicks. 2) Central, eg Chicargo Bulls, Clevelan Cavaliers. 3) Southeast, eg Miami Heat and Orlando Magic. 4) Southwest, eg Houston Rockets, San Antanio Spurs. 5) Northwest, eg Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. 6) Pacifci, egc Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns.
Another type of gameplay made popular by the Super Nintendo game NBA Jam is the two on two game. People find this style more fun because it's faster , and more emphasis is placed on the various type of slam dunks that you can perform. Game's like Stick Basketball try to incorporate this style of gameplay, which is very fun indeed. Some of the game titles here try to inject some humor into the play by using animals such as a badger or giraffe. It's nice to see such diverse themes interated to give everything some enjoyment.
